"From my first moment of contact through to her final creation in my home, Bernie was the picture of professionalism, organization, creativity, knowledge and experience. My only contact with Bernie for several months was through email. I found her website online and liked her work. When she told me she could travel to Manhattan to paint and stencil the column in my apartment, we began a two-month long email exchange. We never even spoke on the phone. Bernie impressed me right from the start. She kept emailing me samples and ideas and resources until we decided on a beautiful sample to create. Her emails were always thorough and she seemed to know exactly what I was saying and what I wanted. She 'got' my taste right away and each email was a step closer to finding the perfect stencil, the perfect colors and the perfect textures for my faux finish. When Bernie arrived she was even more wonderful (if this is possible) than the email page had indicated. Bernie listened to all my ideas and suggested some of her own - and together we created a work of art (clearly she did most of the work)! I am so pleased with the final product - a gift for my boyfriend's birthday - it makes our manhattan apartment a true Italian masterpiece. I feel as if I am transported to Italy the minute I walk in the door. But more than that, working with Bernie proved to be an easy, comforting, honest and truly pleasurable experience."
